FileCatalyst will be in booth SL9113 demonstrating FileCatalyst Direct 3.4, which features numerous updates. The abundance of features and performance enhancements were leveraged by several FileCatalyst customers and integration partners during the recent winter games in Sochi. These enhancements include the ability to seamlessly manage the transfer of dynamically changing files such as MXF video files, as well as the ability to handle extremely high concurrency. Those who participate in a demo of our newest version, will receive a complementary gift.

On Tuesday, April 8, 2014, FileCatalyst CEO and co-founder, Chris Bailey, will be speaking alongside Jim Miles, Director, Digital Workflow Systems. In a session entitled “Accelerating Olympic Winter Games Footage from Sochi, Russia to Stamford, CT”, the challenges of producing live sporting events, particularly on a massive global scale, will be discussed along with how FileCatalyst’s solution securely and reliably accelerates and manages file transfers. This session is part of the Broadcast Engineering Conference and is happening in room S227 from 10:00 – 10:30am.
Meanwhile, at 11:40am on April 8, 2014, Unlimi-Tech’s President and co-founder John Tkaczewski will be conducting an interview with the folks from Larry Jordan & Associates. Occurring live in booth SL11505, all are encouraged to attend as there will be an opportunity to ask questions about FileCatalyst following the interview.
Chris Bailey will also be speaking on April 9 at 2:45pm in the EMC Isilon booth (SL8011). This presentation, titled “Leveraging EMC Isilon Scale-out Storage with FileCatalyst to accelerate digital workflows in media and entertainment”, will cover the advantages and benefits of using FileCatalyst as part of an EMC Isilon storage solution. Following the in booth session, there will be a Q & A opportunity for those looking to learn more about this partnership.
Finally, FileCatalyst will be hosting a couple of events in booth SL9113. Beginning on Monday and ending on Wednesday, a daily business card draw will be done, with each winner walking away with a free Apple TV. Winners will be announced during the daily happy hour reception which will run from 4 to 6pm.
