Broadcast Solutions will sell and support FileCatalyst flagship product, Direct as well as Workflow & Central.
FileCatalyst Direct is a suite of server and client applications that accelerates point-to-point file transfers at speeds of up to 10Gbps. FileCatalyst utilizes a patented UDP-based file transfer technology that overcomes the issues of slow file transfers caused by network impairments such as latency and packet loss.
FileCatalyst Workflow is a web portal for all your file transfer needs. It simplifies file exchange and boosts productivity by streamlining submission, distribution, and file sharing workflows on the web. By integrating directly into your corporate infrastructure, FileCatalyst Workflow makes receiving files easy by acting as an online file submission inbox for anyone outside of your network submitting files into your organizational workflows. FileCatalyst Workflow also turns file distribution via email into a simple task by enabling users to securely send files to any email address. FileCatalyst Workflow combines three powerful web-based managed file transfer workflows: submission, distribution, and online folders.
FileCatalyst Central is a web application used to monitor and manage an organization’s entire FileCatalyst deployment. Central allows administrators to view ongoing transfers in real time, dig into transaction histories, manage or monitor alarms, manage nodes and initiate node-to-server transfers. Administrators may also edit the configuration of all the connected nodes, including FileCatalyst HotFolder (HF) and TransferAgent (TA). Written in HTML5, Central is firewall friendly and integrates seamlessly with all products in the FileCatalyst suite.
“We are excited to add FileCatalyst to our portfolio, as they are a true leader in the accelerated file transfer space,” says Antti Laurila, Product Sales Director for Broadcast Solutions. “With media assets growing in size, remote production becoming more and more common, and the ever increasing requirement for worldwide collaboration, more and more of our customers see FileCatalyst as a need.”
“We are very excited about this new partnership and we look forward to working with Broadcast Solutions. They are one of Europe’s biggest system integrators, and we are excited to have them actively promote, sell and support FileCatalyst as a partner,” said Alan Atkinson, Vice President of Business Development & Marketing For FileCatalyst. “We are also looking forward to working closely with their subsidiaries in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.”
Broadcast Solutions is also hosting their own full day event, Innovation Days 2017, on June 1st at their headquarters in Bingen am Rhein, Germany. In addition to FileCatalyst, the event will showcase a number of their vendors including Avid, EVS, Imagine and Grass Valley to name a few. The event will also facilitate panel discussions on emerging industry trends. Registrations are now open for Innovation Days 2017 on the Broadcast Solutions website.
FileCatalyst’s Co-Founder and President John Tkaczewski will be appearing as a speaker at the Innovation Days 2017 on the panel titled “New Distribution Models: The Outlook for OTT, 2nd and 3rd Screen and Streaming.”
